Arabic: أَعُوذُ بِوَجْهِ اللَّـهِ الْعَظِيمِ الَّذِي لَيْسَ شَيْءٌ أَعْظَمُ مِنْهُ 1 وَبِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّـهِ التَّامَّاتِ الَّتِي لَا يُجَاوِزُهُنَّ بَرٌّ وَلَا فَاجِرٌ 2 وَبِأَسْمَاءِ اللَّـهِ الْحُسْنَى كُلِّهَا. 3 مَا عَلِمْتُ مِنهَا وَمَا لَمْ أَعْلَمْ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ وَبَرَأَ وَزَرَعَ. 4
Transliteration: A’udhu biwajhil laahil ‘azhiimi allazii laisa shai’un a’zama minhu 1 wa bikalimaatil lahittaammaatil laatii laa yujaawizu hunna barrun wa laa faajirun 2 wa bi asmaa’illahi al-husnaa kullihaa. 3 Maa a’lamtu minhaa wa maa lam a’lam min sharri maa khalaqa wa bara’a wa zara’a. 4
Translation: I seek refuge in Allah’s Greatness, which is unmatched, and in His perfect words that no righteous or wicked can surpass. In all of Allah’s beautiful names, known and unknown, from the evil of all His creation.
Dua for Seeking Refuge in Allah’s Grace
Arabic: أَعُوذُ بِوَجْهِ اللَّـهِ الْكَرِيمِ 1 وَبِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّـهِ التَّامَّاتِ الَّتِي لَا يُجَاوِزُهُنَّ بَرٌّ وَلَا فَاجِرٌ 2 مِن شَرِّ مَا يَنْزِلُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ 3 وَمِن شَرِّ مَا يَعْرُجُ فِيهَا 4 وَشَرِّ مَا زَرَعَ فِي الْأَرْضِ 5 وَشَرِّ مَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا 6 وَمِن فِتَنِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ. 7
Transliteration: A’udhu biwajhil laahil kareemi 1 wa bikalimaatil laahit taammaatil laatii laa yujaawizu hunna barrun wa laa faajirun 2 min sharri maa yanzilu minassamaaa’i 3 wa min sharri maa ya’ruju feehaa 4 wa sharri maa zara’a fil ardhi 5 wa sharri maa yakhruju minhaa 6 wa min fitanil layli wannahaar. 7
Translation: I seek refuge in Allah’s Grace and in His perfect words from the evil that descends from the heavens, ascends to them, from the evil of what is sown in the earth, and what comes out of it, and from the trials of night and day.
Morning and Evening Invocation for Protection
Morning: أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَصْبَحَ الْمُلْكُ لِلَّـهِ وَالْحَمْدُ كُلُّهُ لِلَّـهِ أَعُوذُ بِاللَّـهِ الَّذِي يُمْسِكُ السَّمَاءَ أَنْ تَقَعَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ وَزَرَعَ وَمِن شَرِّ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَشِرْكِهِ. 1
Transliteration: Asbahna wa asbaha al-mulku lillahi wal hamdu kulluhu lillahi a’udhu billahi alladhi yumsiku assamaaa’a an taqa’a ‘ala al-ardhi illa bi idhnihi min sharri maa khalaqa wa zara’a wa min sharri ash-shayaateeni wa shirkihi. 1
Translation: We have entered the morning, and the kingdom belongs to Allah, and all praise is for Allah. I seek refuge in Allah who holds the heavens so that they do not fall upon the earth except by His permission, from the evil of what He has created and sown, and from the evil of the devils and their association.
Evening: أَمْسَيْنَا وَأَمْسَى الْمُلْكُ لِلَّـهِ وَالْحَمْدُ كُلُّهُ لِلَّـهِ أَعُوذُ بِاللَّـهِ الَّذِي يُمْسِكُ السَّمَاءَ أَنْ تَقَعَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ. 2
Transliteration: Amsayna wa amsa al-mulku lillahi wal hamdu kulluhu lillahi a’udhu billahi alladhi yumsiku assamaaa’a an taqa’a ‘ala al-ardhi illa bi idhnihi. 2

Arabic: بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ. 1
Transliteration: Bismillahi alladhi la yadurru ma’a ismihi shai’un fil ardi wa la fis samaa’i wa huwa as-sami’u al-‘aleem. 1
Translation: In the name of Allah, whose name nothing can harm, in the earth or in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
Protection from Devils and Envious Eyes
Arabic: أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّـهِ التَّامَّةِ مِن كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ وَمِن كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ. 1
Transliteration: A’udhu bi kalimaatil laahi at-taammah min kulli shaytaanin wahammah wa min kulli ‘aynin laammah. 1
Translation: I seek refuge in Allah’s perfect words from every devil and every envious eye.
Refuge from Allah’s Anger
Arabic: أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّـهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِن غَضَبِهِ وَعِقَابِهِ. 1
Transliteration: A’udhu bi kalimaatil laahi at-taammaati min ghadabihi wa ‘iqabihi. 1
Translation: I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and His punishment.
Recitation for Protection Against the Evil Eye
Arabic: وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا كَادُوا يُزْلِقُونَكَ بِأَبْصَارِهِمْ لَمَّا سَمِعُوا الذِّكْرَ وَيَقُولُونَ إِنَّهُ لَمَجْنُونٌ. 1
Transliteration: Wa innalladhina kafaru kaadoo yuzliqoona kabiy absarihim lammaa sami’oo dh-dhikra wa yaquloona innahu lamajnun. 1
Translation: And indeed, those who disbelieve would almost strike you down with their eyes when they hear the reminder, and they say, “Indeed, he is a madman.”
Invocation of Allah’s Oneness During Trials
Arabic: لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ. 1
Transliteration: La ilaaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu min az-zalimeen. 1
Translation: There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrong
Invocation of Allah’s Oneness During Trials
Arabic: لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ. 1
Transliteration: La ilaaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu min az-zalimeen. 1
Translation: There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.
Dua for Relief from Distress
Arabic: إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا. 1
Transliteration: Inna ma’al ’usri yusra. 1
Translation: Indeed, with hardship comes ease.
Dua for Overcoming Anxiety
Arabic: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا. 1
Transliteration: Allahumma inni as’aluka ‘ilman naafi’an wa rizqan tayyiban wa ’amalan mutaqabbalan. 1
Translation: O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good sustenance, and accepted deeds.
Dua for Guidance
Arabic: اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنِي وَسَدِّدْنِي. 1
Transliteration: Allahumma ihdini wa saddidni. 1
Translation: O Allah, guide me and make me steadfast.
Dua for Ease in Difficulties
Arabic: اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ لِي مِنْ أَمْرِي مَفْرَجًا وَاجْعَلْ لِي مِنْ كُلِّ ضِيقٍ مَخْرَجًا. 1
Transliteration: Allahumma aj’al li min amri makhrajًا wa aj’al li min kulli diqi makhraj. 1
Translation: O Allah, make for me a way out of every difficulty, and provide me a way out of every distress.

Arabic: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ. 1
Transliteration: Allahumma inni a’udhu bika min al-hammi wal-hazan. 1
Translation: O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow.
Dua for Seeking Forgiveness
Arabic: أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ رَبِّي مِن كُلِّ ذَنْبٍ أَذْنَبْتُهُ. 1
Transliteration: Astaghfiruka rabbi min kulli dhambin adhnbtuhu. 1
Translation: I ask Your forgiveness, my Lord, for every sin I have committed.

Arabic: اللَّهُمَّ احْمِني مِنْ عَيْنِ الْحَاسِدِينَ. 1
Transliteration: Allahumma ihmini min ’ayni al-hasidiin. 1
Translation: O Allah, protect me from the eyes of the envious.

Arabic: رَبِّ أَنفِسْنَا صَبْرًا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا. 1
Transliteration: Rabbi anfisna sabran wa thabbit aqdamana. 1

Arabic: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الشَّفَاءَ مِن كُلِّ دَاءٍ. 1
Transliteration: Allahumma inni as’aluka ash-shifa’a min kulli daa’in. 1
